Myers Park

Town of Lansing

Our venue

About 10 miles north of Ithaca, Myers Park sits on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, one of the Finger Lakes, in Tompkins County. Located in the Town of Lansing off of Route 34B, the park has thirty-one acres of grass-covered, tree-shaded land, with extensive Cayuga Lake frontage. Admission is free for Town of Lansing residents. Non-residents are charged $7 per car.

The south side of Myers Park has a large boat marina and three paved launching ramps where motorboats and other powered craft may be put into the water for a small fee. North of the boat marina is green space with several sheltered pavilions, picnic tables, and barbecue grills scattered throughout. Camping is available in a designated area. The park also features a swimming area (with lifeguards on duty), playground, volleyball net, basketball court, and horseshoe pits as well as a launch area for kayaks, SUPs and other small craft along Salmon Creek, which runs along the northern edge of the park.

CLX 2022 locations

CLX 2022 has several locations in the park reserved for the weekend. A section of the camping area is reserved, for a small fee, for those who want to camp and take in the lake and the park – if you’re interested, you may reserve sites when you register for a race or using the separate Meals & Camping form. We have designated areas for OC6s and OC1s & OC2s once you unload them at the loading/unloading zone – we’ve arranged to store boat trailers at a nearby site. Registration, breakfast, and coffee are at the Paddle-N-More building, which also has bathrooms, showers, and vending machines. Lunch and Saturday luau are at the pavilion near Salmon Creek. For SUP races, paddlers will start at the beach near the small pier. For OC races, boats will launch from the beach, then proceed to the start point near the lighthouse, where the starter and timers will be positioned.

For other housing accommodations, Ithaca, which is a ten/fifteen-minute drive, has a number of hotels – those near the airport tend to be less expensive than those in downtown Ithaca. Local residents often list places, including some on Cayuga Lake, on AirBnB.
